I went ahead and upgraded KDE on my Kubuntu 9.04 work machine a few weeks ago and am pretty sure we can finally safely say the new KDE is ready for prime time. I’ve had some problems with the older releases in the 4.x series (even 4.2) and all the major issues appear to be gone. I’m even running 4.3 regularly on an alpha build of Kubuntu 9.10 and honestly can’t think of any desktop-related quirks at all on either system!
